Good grief, talk about cold!!! Tough day to fish. Barometer was jacked out of sight and old man winter was blowing down the lake, he's got to be out of breath. North don't go forth well applied today. If I had not brought my insulated coveralls with me today, the truck would have been back to Gordon within two hours after light. We fished today from about 8-3 and caught a total of 28, but kept 12 nice fish and lost 2 nice ones to pull off's. Catches of 10,10,5 were the reports around us, they were spider rigging. There were a couple of long liners but didn't get a chance to speak to them at the end of the afternoon. Water temp. is 55-56 degrees. The ramps are all okay without dropping off. Papadawg and Earl if ya'll braved it today hope you faired better than we did. This toasty house is sure feeling mighty nice right now.

Jonathan, Chucky Boy and I fished from 9 until about 3:30. We had a few over a pound but we only kept 12 also. Tough bite and the wind made for a tough day. We saw Papa Dawg and he did pretty good longlining also. I agree my house feels real good to.

Sounds like you guys had a good day to me. Since the water has cooled off and they arnt in the stumps and tree tops anymore my tightlining tactics haven't worked for me. Went last weekend and caught nothing. Where are you guys fishing? As in how deep, backs or mouths of creeks or in coves?

Earl, hope you enjoy those 12 as much as I enjoyed the one I got out of the freezer today. Had a great time even if it was cold.

I was trolling in 20-30 ft of water over trees and stumps. I did not catch any out in the open where there was no underwaer structure. I had double 1/32ths on and had better luck with star dust, electric chicken and acid rain. Trolling 1.0 to 1.2.
