    Default Lake Ocenee INFO

Wanting to find a place to stay a few days to fish. I have tried to find things on the net with no luck. Not staying at the Ritz Carlton....Don't want to camp. Just a bed and a shower. If you know of some places please let me know. Thanks!

If you want to go on the cheap the Western Motel in Eatonton is not a bad place. Nothing fancy but it is clean and comfortable. Last time I stayed there it was $42 a night.

We usually stay at the Jamison Inn in greensboro, nice place and reasonable rate's.The Lodge is a nice place to but best we could get is $89 a night. They still rent room's at granite shoal's but no comment there.Go ahead and stay at the Ritz, what the heck Reynold's has filed for bankruptcy anyway.

The Sugar Creek Marina has cabins, don't know how much though. You could call them.

The folks at Blue Springs are supposedly renting out the rooms above the shop. I believe they are asking $125 per night but you may be able to bargain with them in the off season.

Theres a place called Durhamtown Plantation. I think (can't guarantee it) they're about 10 miles from the lake. Considering what you need and trying to stay within reason, i think they're worth a try. Their number is 866-341-4466. We were going to stay there one night last fall but decided not to pursue the camping excursion and wussed out. I can't remember how much they were charging per night but it was very reasonable or we wouldn't have considered it. All we wanted was a place to park with a shower and bath. They have a website also...check it out Welcome to Durhamtown.
