The fish were staging for the fall feed-up two weeks ago in 20' of water about 15' down around any brush or cover.
Just wondering if anyone is getting out on Altoona, Ive got some time off comming in the next couple of weeks and thinking of giving it a try..What would be better right now long lineing or night stalking??? Both
Thanks,
PJ

Diehard I put in at Bartow Carver saturday and fished close to the ramp down that left hand side. Saw lots of bait and caught a couple of bass/stripers. Was long line trolling and fighting the wind later in the day.
Puddle Jumper - I'd take Diehards advice. Thats my plan if I can get out Sat afternoon.

Thanks guys,
Ive been hitting Carters a few times this summer trying to figure out the fish over there but I think im going to try toona and see if I can pick some fish up down there for a change...
Figure I will head over mid afternoon and pull jigs untill dark then put some light out and see how I do with them..I was thinking about the little river area, just becouse I know that part of the lake better than the rest,,
