    Default Juliette Help?

Thinking of heading to Juliette Sat afternoon to hit up some bass and try to catch some deeper bass then hit up some crappie. I have never night fished here for Crappie and do not know where to start. There is tons of structures and I was thinking about cruising the Holly Grove side of Juliette and trying to find a channel to fish and work on my fish finder knowledge. I know its kind of hit and miss but I have seen some Crappie coming out of there that are nice..just got to find them. I plan on sittin with some minnows.I know some of yall have got some tips. :D

Juliette has been hard on me at night....clear water and lights bring millions of bait....best I have done and others have said too is to get in the timber and find a hole/depression in it and mark it in the daytime....come back at night and set up....crappie there are likely to gang up on a certain spot...some really nice slabs coming out of that lake lately....good luck

I agree with shine, but watch out for DNR, they can be hard on you at that lake.

    Default Just got back

but didn't bass fish (although I did see alot of bass hitting the top of the water) or Crappie fish. I went after the Bluegill and Shellcracker and caught 41 and had to come home today because our tent leaked like a sieve and the wife made me come home early, she was not a happy camper. I was catching alot of fish in my faviorite spots until this front started coming in and it was like they got lockjaw. O'well, another day, another fishing trip. Hope you have a great fishing trip Armytaco, let us know how it went.

You know my favorite things to catch are Bluegill and Shellcrackers. I did not realize how nice they got out there? Do you fish on the bottom? worms? Was going to take some worms out there with me after I seen on here some of the Crackers that came out of there.

I took some worms and Crickets but fished with crickets, went thru 200 in a day but most of um were lost to small fish. We were fishing some coves that had downed trees and brush, seemed thats where the bigger ones were. None of the bluegill I caught had eggs but all the sheelcracker did and its coming up on full moon. I had my cork set at about 3 feet but it seemed thats was good even in deeper water( 8 to 15 feet). Most of the fish I saw on the sonar were about 2 to 5 feet deep.
Jroz, miss Nancy's the boss around here, if she ain't happy, I ain't happy LOL.

Well I am going to be campig out there for a weekend here soon maybe you could come up and show me a thing or two. Im not asking to show me your holes but help me find something similiar. I have some favorite coves of my own that I like. I need to work on learning my graph so I can figure out what I am looking at. Juliette has become my favorite lake right now. I love it and it is nice to camp there. Maybe we can have a little weekend get together and show me a thing or two. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Bill

AT, I'd be glad to show you some of my spots and help you out with the Bluegills and Shellcracker, but June's out for me. I've got alot going on and about the 3rd week in June we're headed to Alaska to see my stepdaughter and her family in Fairbanks, her husband's in Iraq and he should be back sometimes in September. As soon as things settle down a bit I'll let ya know and we'll meet up at Juliette and see what we can do.
