I know it was said on here once already but I wanted to confirm that my grandfather did pass away early this morning. We are all heartbroken but we know he has gone to a better place. We lost my grandmother 8 1/2 years ago so I know we all find peace in knowing they are together again.

Thank you all again for your continuous thoughts and prayers. I can't think of a better way for him to have gone to be with the Lord than on the 4th of July. As my father said, we'll never be able to look at another firework and not think of him.

can someone give me info on visitations and funeral for mr. cantrell.i would like to pay my respects.thoughts and prayers are with his family.he was a great man and a great fisherman he will be greatly missed

Details are being worked out, but exact times and dates are coming. The tentative schedule for visitation will be on Weds. July 7th, and the funeral will be on July 8th. As soon as the exacts dates and times are available, they will be posted here and on the GA Slab Masters website on the "News" page.

He was indeed a great man, great fisherman,a Champion, and will no doubt be missed by many.
