    Default Talquin 1st Trip

I made my 1st trip to Lake Talquin on Friday. It was quite and experince. We fish until 5:00 on Friday before we caught a 10" fish. We kept 13 fish on Friday. We started early on Sat. We caught probably 100 real small fish. We caught about 30 fish 9" to about 9 3/4". We kept 44 nice Spects on Sat. The largest was 1 lb. 14 oz. Had a good time, but had to fight the wind.

Certainly correct about the wind.. Caught total of 23 off the dock Friday night and Saturday night.. Looking forward for Easter Week-end coming up, maybe it will not be as windy..

Sounds like the same days I had on Talquin. Fri. 14 good fish and Sat, 25 good fish , biggest was 1.92 but most kept were in that 1.25 and up. The fish were still biting when I came in Sat. but stopped at my limit. 10 to 16 FOW and the color was blue/chart.....Did I run in to you in Polk creek Fri. AM..

Sounds like a pretty good weekend for catching, although the wind was up a little too much for me. I'll be back for 3 days this weekend to make sure Rawhide has not corrupted things in my absense...10 day forecast is looking pretty good right now.
