    Default What TM to buy

Let me start off by saying I have had MK all my life on every boat Ive owned. When I bought this boat last March, it had a MG on it and instead of trashing it, I decided I would give it a chance. Well I've given it a chance and I still hate everything about it. I know Im going back with MK, so my question for you all is this. If you were going to take part of your tax return and spend it on a MK tm, which one would you get and why? Im really likeing the wireless ones but not seeing good reviews on the Fortrex.

    Thanks, and happy fishing

I-Pilot bar none...GPS spot lock held us in 20mph winds saturday and sold me. That thing has crazy technology and there was no way to fish that deep channel and control the boat at the same time. Throw away your anchors cause you will need them no more and talk about shootin docks with that thing to hold you still...The list of reasons are endless

If you want cable foot control, Fortex is the only way to go, has maximiser, and super variable speed control, for the powerdrives- like Earl says.

Robert, If you are going with Minn Kota, I would definitely go with the V2 Power Drive or the Terrova with the I-Pilot. (The Terrova is more $$$). The price difference between the 12V or 24v V2 Power Drive without the I-Pilot versus the 12V or 24V V2 with the I-Pilot is not but a few dollars more and well worth it.(HodgesMarine.com shows about a $40-$60 difference) I talked with CrappieLuck last week while we were at Talquin and he LOVES his I-Pilot! Like Joe said, the spot lock works great and so does the cruise control. The only difference between the Terrova and the V2 in the way the I-Pilot works is you can use your foot pedal with the Terrova and you cant use the foot pedal with the V2 Power Drive. With the Spot Lock and the Cruise Control feature, I believe some of the old pros will probably be trading in their cable drive motors.

Ummm, You obviously haven't had the I-Pilot expierence first hand.
Most Pros already have, want or have ordered an I-Pilot. They cant keep them on the shelves at any store.
