    Default Clarks Hill

Not much reporting going on so I will tell everyone what I know. The crappie bite has not picked up like they should this time of the year. The few people that I know that has been fishing for them are catching some still on brush and around bridge pillings. These are not the size fish that should be caught this time of the year. As far as trolling, the stripers and hybrids are going crazy on anything moving right now. As I type this, my partner is on the lake right now wearing them out. He caught some up to 6lbs yesterday. If I was going to fish the lake, I would probably just go for the stripers until the water cools down a little. The seagulls have started showing up and we all know what that means. The best areas for the stripers right now is raysville area and bring lots of 1/4oz white roadrunners and lil fishies. Great time to take a kid or someone who doesnt get to fish often.

Same thing on Eufaula a couple weeks back, and probably still happening, go to the mouth of White Oak on the Al. side around the bouys and you can wear out the stripes. Anything with red , they'll tear it up. A lot of fun. Like DI says great time to carry someone to just catch some fish and have some fast and furious fun.

I feel your pain. I put my boat in the shop 2 weeks ago to fix the hull. They told me then it would take 7-10 days. Now they're telling me maybe by mid week next week. The part that's killing me most is I'm not working and now I have my structure scan that I can't even try out. I'm comping at the bit. Maybe the best fishing will hold out till I'm on the water again.
