    Default Tobo Sat. afternoon

Went sat. afternoon for 2 1/2 hours. Water was still warm (84-85). Caught five crappie and two bass jigging. Saw shad schooled up in 9 ft. of water right on the top of the surface above brushhpiles. Need the water to cool down a good bit still.

Went back Sun. morning and caught 22 pushing minnows in 13' of water over brush. The fish that are bitting are hitting real light.

Well, my confidence has been restored (some anyway) that there really are fish in this lake. After reading the recent post in this thread, I decided to give it another try. I caught 9 on the first brushpile and lost a "goodun" right at the boat. Yall are right about the light bite....just a little tap..tap. I know I missed some bites by messing with too many poles but if I was not in the brush I was not getting bites. After they quit here, I headed down past the LTB and found a few more on another pile. Ended up with 15 "good" keepers which is all I wanted to clean and left right after lunchtime. Had about a 3 - 4 lb channel cat that caused me to have to cut and retie two of my lines so I kept him but give him to a guy fishing by the ramp when I went out. I thought it was a pretty nice cat but when he opened his bucket he had one in there that could just about eat mine. But, he was glad to get him and that kept me from having to clean him too. All in all a good day and back in time to get the fish cleaned and head out to dinner with my wife for our 35th wedding anniversary tonight.

Good news Jacob, still a few left in there after all:D
I been hitting Blackshear and Oconee this week sept fer Tobo on tues when i got rained out and thurs when the stores were closed for the funerals of the indians that were murdered, and KC's had to close 30 mins early again leaving me without bait at 8:30 (again) ...KC's has done this 6 times in 3 weeks and they have earned their way to the bottom of my bait store list!!!
Congrats Scott on your anniversary and your catch at tobo
