Default Best Tournament of the Season: The Youth Tournament 6-27-09

Well , we had what was the best tournament of the whole season yesterday at the Ocmulgee PFA, it was beyond fantastic. We want to thank the Good Lord, Ocmulgee PFA,Vicious Fishing, Danny and Beth Williamson, Bleckley Co. Sportsmen Club,The Pool Store,Lightwirehooker, Rod and Jeanne Fry, The Crappie Shop, and everybody who attended! All these and Ga.Slab Masters made this a very special day for a lot of children and they're parents. We had as much fun as the kids and absolutely can't wait to do another one! We had a lot of people there and everybody ate good, the kids caught groups of fish, (I think the biggest was a 5 1/2 lb cat), There were no losers, only winners in attendance, no bickering,no complaining, just flat out good fun. It was an absolute joy for Jamie ,Dan and myself to witness what went on. I think every youngun there is now hooked on fishing for life and that is what we are all about. I'll quit blabing now and let the pictures speak, click the link to view the slide show, I have 25 out 142 pics downloaded right now ,will add more later.

Sounds like you guys had a ball. I know the heat had to be tough on you old guys. Bet the kids didn't even notice.

Thanks for the great time. My grandkids had a ball plus caught bunches of fish. The event was well planned and everyone had a great time. Really enjoyed the pictures.

What a great job. Those memories are PRICELESS. Next year, if you need some help, please let me know. You might want to check with the local hospital for those children who are under cancer treatment or survivors. At a camp held in IN we also included the brothers or sisters of survivors. We found that the sick child received a lot more attention because of the illness and the siblings enjoyed the camp.
God bless all of you. This is what crappie.com is about.
