I have been in the cabinet business. It has fallen off the cliff. Right now I am doing mostly remodeling, and I am doing more carpenter work than just only cabinets.
I have decided to get my builders license so I can be more diversified. Luckily I have 20 years behind me in the area so I have built a good name.
I am gonna run an ad in the local service directory..."Husband for Rent".
Will do anything like hang blinds, repairs, whatever I am able to do.
A 52 year old handyman so to speak.
Up to 2 years ago I was working 6-8 folks, now I am working out of the back of my truck, suffering the aches and pains of doing manual labor again.
I see the future in home building being the smaller houses, hence why I am getting a builders license in this failing climate.
Hang in there everybody, think outside the box, cause it's gone.
