I just use a cooler full of ice and it keeps my fish fresh and cold. I sometimes gut the fish
before putting them in ice if I have time. Works for me but may not do so for you.

You are right. Putting fish in a live well is like treating cancer on death row, it just puts off the inevitable. LOL

That's what I usually do but was trying to find a way to minimize the amount of room being taken up but having the cooler and the seat. Thanks guys for your suggestion.
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

    Talking Livewells For the Boat

The ones at the sporting good stores are like putting a rubber garbage can under the saet. They are not very user friendly and you will have water splashing all over. No lid, just an open top.

    BirdDog,

If you want something that you will be very pleased with check out my website. I custom Build Livewells and have a ton of very satisfied customers. you can see pictures of what I build at Home
