I think there's alot of truth in that statement Outlaw. I've always been a back to basic kind of guy and have learned alot of survival skills along the way. The way things are going, I may have to use them in the near future. I made the decision long ago to get out of the big cities and I'm so glad I did. I now live in the woods with a creek running right behind the house. As far as gas prices go, I'm glad that I live kinda close to Tobesofkee so it dosen't cost an arm and a leg to go fishing. Now if they would just open up some more ramps. I'm going to try my luck Tuesday and that will be the first time at Tobe since the tornados, I know its going to look a whole lot different.

people need to stop listening to the grand standing feel good crap going on in Washington. they want you to believe that it is the oil companies fault that the price of oil is so high. the only reason they are doing the hearings with oil executives is to hide the fact it is government (Democrats fault) that prices are as high as they are. oil companies pay taxes, thats passed to us-we pay additional taxes at the pump so recap taxes and more taxes look who you vote for office. true they make billions of dollars but they also spend billions of dollars. we need to open up more drill sites & more refineries. but while we are pointing fingers we need to point them at are selfs. we drive big trucks & suvs that get crappie gas mileage that a vast majority don't even need no pun intended think of it like this is your truck 4 wheel drive and if so when have you ever really needed it. just having the option costs a couple mpg. we are the reason big oil is making huge profits. they only make about 7 or 8 cents on the dollar as profit but when you have millions of people wasting gas in large vehicles that they don't need then yes they are going to make billions. basic economics don't hear any body saying wal marts charging to much for t-shirts and they profit billions of dollars too. also the next time you go and buy something think about where it came from is it local or from across the nation or over seas. everything comes on the back of a commercial truck that only gets 7mpg on average be it oranges from California, beef from the mid west ,or the asphalt for that new high way lane you are driving on

Cap on the price. Does anyone remember Jimmy Carter? It is not the oil companies, it is our useless government officials and the tree huggers. When has the government EVER taken over or started any programs that didn't cost much more than private industry could do it. Liberal Democrats will be the doom of this country, but McCain and the republicans are almost as bad. There is going to come a time when we all stand together and clean out that toilet called Washington D.C.

I won't mind if you put my name down on the ballot.:D

I have actually decided not to vote for any national office this year. As far as I am concerned none of them are worth a hoot. Even the lesser of the evils is too evil for me.

It is a crying shame that all the great and smart people we have in this country and we have to pick between these 3 so called qualified candidates,is it that nobody wants the job or is it something else, this cannot be the best we have to offer is it? It's just ridiculous, also not one of them has mention doing anything about this gas price situation as far as I know, not to mention all our of big problems the current Chief has blundered us into.

    There is always Bob Barr!!!!
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
