yep
Was having problems with motor starving for fuel when trying to get up WOT. I didn't have time to trouble shoot myself so I took to shop. He cleaned carbs and this and that. No help, took it back and he said he took to lake and it ran fine, fuel pump looked good. Well I could see the bolts still had factory paint and the exposed gaskets were still painted. I ordered a gasket kit and when I broke the pump down I was surprised to see a lot of junk, looked like some sort of resin build up. I keep Sea Foam in gas since new. I guess the mechanic meant the fuel pump looked good on the onside Sometime it is best to save the money and just do it yourself.

Shop is in Alma, normally do great work. I pulled boat 150 miles for them to work on it. The bill was only $288, you were close. The son did this last job and have used his dad before and hope this was just a fluke. I sent them a pic and let them know what was causing problem so they could look for that in future. Told his momma and that will probably fix the problem. The pic doesn't really show the stuff clearly, it is almost like small granular plastic sand. Got me puzzled.
