Yep those pic s were taken after the damn breached. My wife and I helped the Red Cross distribute meals during the flooding. Thanks for posting these pics Sage.

July 5th 1994, I remember it well. We live on a creek in Crawford county and we had a July 4th party, next morning I looked out and half the back yard was under water and the water was rising. Had a Harley Sportster under the back porch and my wife told me to move it and I told her that the water would never get high enough to cause any real problems and boy was I wrong. After the tail pipes were under water I decided to move it to higher ground and it cranked (to my surprise) and I moved it. Next thing I know our bridge is floating down the creek and a bird feeder was slapping the top of the water, water was still rising and washing out trees that were on the bank of the creek and the water was up to the 3rd concrete block on our house foundation and the heat pump was under water. Things were getting serious, and the cabin that I lived in while I was building my house was floating like a boat and moved about 4 feet from where it had been before with my stepson inside. He had to bust a window out of the back of the cabin and make a dash for the neighbors house cause he couldn't cross the creek. I think we had about 30 inches of rain in 3 days and it was more than the creek or anything else around here could handle. Bridges were washed out around us so we couldn't go anywhere but my wife had gone and bought groceries before the party so we had plenty of food and beer, I think I started drinking early that day. Man I hope I never see anything like that again but I'm sure it's just a matter of time what with all this strange weather. That's the only time I've ever seen motor boats going down Riverside Drive in Macon and the old cabin in the back still has a water level mark on the side of it that I can show people to this day. That was some scary stuff and it taught me the awesome power of flowing water.

I remember that flood well. Could not get to work for 4 days,all bridges were closed or washed away. That was to much water.
