Rusty, I will pray for your dad's full recovery. You are very right about you never know what tomorrow will bring. My dad passed away two months after I purchased my boat in 1991. He always wanted to go fishing at Lake Juliette. We went fishing there in June and he was gone in August. I always remember getting to take him to Juliette and the fun we had. I have a picture of him in my truck with the boat behind it at Juliette and it is a special memory of that day. If you have a dad who likes to fish or hunt, please take him when you can and tell him you love him. This goes for moms to, don't forget the outdoor moms. Rusty, I pray that God heals your dad quickly and he is fishing with you as soon as the weather cools off. That would be a big praise. Wes

Your dad is in my prayers. You post brought a lot of raw emotions for me. I am guilty of not taking my dad fishing and impatience with him. I was to busy doing business and not being a son. On a yard stick, my measurement for my son skills to my dad would not be measurable. Not proud of these memories. I agree with Ragfly, take your dad and kids fishing as much as you can. Oh and don't forget your better half. They deserve fun together times also. There will be a day that you can't and then you will have years of regrets, just like me and others.
My your dad beat this challege.

My dad's gone now, but some of the fondest memories are of the time we spent together fishing. My prayers are sent.

Prayers on the way. I know exactly what you are saying and what others have said. Miss my dad, but have some great memories from the times we were able to get outdoors. Will keep you and your family in our prayers. Keep your chin up.

Added you and your Dad to my prayer list.
Will be praying for you and your dad. There are reasons for everything and God has a plan...we just have to open our hearts and listen.
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15
