I have always had great luck with AC Delco, I give them away after the 3rd season on them, and friends get another year out of them.

Wish I had friends that would give me batteries. I use the wally world deep cycles and get about 3 years from them.

Well I bought a Interstate 29 series marine deep cycle for about $90 and still haven't hooked up two in parallel yet. I haven't needed to really, although I probably will soon. The one battery has been holding up to a full day of trolling just fine with plenty left over at the end of the day. Will keep ya'll posted if any problems come up. This battery actually has better ratings than the 31 series. Good folks to deal with down here in Perry at the Interstate Store.

Be sure you check the written Warranty on the Wal_mart Marine Maxx, bought one last week and the Dude tole me they have (NO) Warranty, and the 18 month free replacement has disappeared from the label on the battery.. Will change Brands if this policy continues.

....I was trying to do 2 so I could run parrallel but until I figure out how to configure them to fit with the on board charger I will just replace the one for now

I run mine parallel, with a minn-kota on board charger. I don't know if it's right or not, but no problems so far (knock on wood).
I just tied the 2 batt. together ( pos. to pos., neg. to neg.) and hooked the charger to one of the batteries, like one big battery.

Yep, that will work. The problem I am running into is the size of the onboard battery charger, gas tank, bracing of the transom, and other batteries doesn't leave much room to add another battery to run them in parrallel. The onboard charger is mounted where a third battery would have been mounted. There is not another suitable flat surface to re-mount the charger. I did find a tray to fit two 27 series batteries that will fit in the bottom of the boat. I will only have to cut the lip off one of the sides to allow the two 29's to sit in the tray. There isn't enough room for them to move side to side so the lip on one side is not needed. I cut the lip off the 27 series tray that was already in the boat when I put the 29 series in and it is just as secure. Now I just gotta go buy the tray and the other battery and hook them up. It will come in handy when I switch over to the RipTide M/K so I can use the T/M in the salt water chasing those redfish too!!!
