i would say fish has done this for 1000's of years its seen alot in salt water and rare in lakes rivers most of the time in happens its where theres ethere to many of one sex or where theres only one sex and will take a few years for it to happen

i heard that by counting the dorsal fins. i believe, but not positive, its a male if it has more than 6 bones in the dorsal fin that its a female. may be the other way around. i think rusty told me that at blackshear slabfest. let him chime in.
ahhh got it mixed up then.
It's all part of the evolution process. In about 2.5 million years humans will be doing that too....
