Danbo, did yall go to woodruff any? Also were there any dollar pads anywhere?
Sixteen of us left Kite, Swainsboro, Dublin, Macon, and Lizella for our annual April trip to Astor. Our target was Shellcrackers on the bed. The weather Gods did not help with our plan with cool nights and winds. The wind was from the N/NE at a 12-20 MPH rate. It kept us off Lake George the entire week. We did catch the Crackers and they were quality fish. Some boats brought back a limit and some not so but all 8 boats caught fish and had one heck of a good time. We found all our fish South of Astor as the Lake was at 68 degrees with Dextor water at 72. We spread out and fish clean shell bottoms with worms on the bottom. With cool nights the AM bite was slow but it really picked up in the PM. My partner Fred Hill and I caught 55 one afternoon and all were goodens. When the weather get better, there will be bedding all over that area. Good luck if you go.
