Great report and pics, congrats
My Buddy Billy Minton and I took off at the crack Wednesday AM headed for the Satilla. We fished all day but only caught fish from 1130AM until 5 PM. The AM bite was just not there. The river was falling too fast but we did manage to keep 47 and most were red breast. We met up with my boy and Grand Baby Girl on the river and she caught her very first Satilla bream.
We stayed in Waycross Wed nite and headed back via the Altamaha on a scouting trip for June. We got there about 10AM and we both said what the heck, so we went fishing while we were there. The river was high and muddy but we had worms, crickets, and some catalpa worms Mike give us while in Waycross. We fished our cricket on a spinner, crickets under a cork, worms on the bottom with little success. We finally stopped and fished an Eddy pocket with deep water and started catching a few. When I hooked on one of those Catalpa worms the party started. We used every one of them Catalpa worms. We did not feel like counting fish but the ice chest would not hold one more.....Nice FAT gills, red breast, and some channel cat...Fun day in bad conditions.
We loaded up and our two tired butts headed back to God's country.

What a great outing. Nothing like being on a south Georgia river in the springtime. What a beautiful sandbar in the background. Andy-1 Cove
Well played Danbo. I love to read your stories about fishing those rivers. That place looks awesome.
