Default Huge Bluegill at Lake Blackshear

For the past few weeks I have been catching big "Danbo" bluegills. Hey just pickin at ya Danbo cause you da man with bream fishing. All jokes aside I truly have been catching huge gills lately on Lake Blackshear. Two weeks ago I carried a friend out bream fishing and we only cought 24 gills but they weigh around 12 lbs total. The gills on Blackshear sure have been big this year and sure hope it stays that way.

Sure wish i could find them. Fished limestone a week ago in pads, trees, etc and nothing to show but a few two finger bluegills. Was going to try going farther north, maybe up into the river this weekend early one morning.

Yep I do have a camera but forgot how to post pics. Next time you this way I'll show you a pic of them. Hey Shell, I cought the last mess in Cedar creek up against the south bank down past the tram road. Also cought some in the Valhalla cove area. Gonna try to find some more in the morning. Will post results.
