When U headed to Fla? I leave April 13th and staying at South Moon in Astor.

I cut the skirt off the Spin Dandy at the round of the hook and add a cricket or Worm if bite is slow. Works dern good in the river....

Well I went to 3 Walmarts and could not find the Spin Daddys. I had decided to go with the old standby Beetle Spin and discovered they have a new spinner bait for panfish. It really looks good, even had what looked like two eyes on the Crawdad color one. They are similar in size to the Booyah Pond spinner or the Spin Daddy. Sorry I can't remember the name of them.
They head is fixed to the shaft like the typical spinnerbait as opposed to the removable jig head on the Beetle Spin.

Yes that is the one. I presume it is fairly new as I had not seen it before. I am a fan of the Beetle Spin, caught my largest crappie on one in Florida no less. So I figured these would work well also. Gonna give then a try next week,
Back when I was on the dark side I fished spinner baits a lot in the early spring for Bass. Never realy thought of using them for bream, except for the Beetle Spin.
    PS
I got to looking more closely at the pictures and I did not think the jig head was removable but I guess it is. Have to look at mine a little closer. Oh well, still looks like a good lure.

The smallest beetle spin, black with yellow stripes .... Has accounted for about a half jillion bream in my lifetime. Night crawlers caught the other half.

A solid black 1/32 oz. bettle spin is the best bream catcher around for me. The solid black color is hard to find. I may have the only ones left in captivity.

You can get them here but they $3.95. No tax but must pay shipping.

I tried all of these lures this week in Astor and the St Johns. The Spin Dandy with a cricket is still King.
