Nice !!!! Need to do a little river fishing soon !!!
Four of us went down to the Ohoopee River near Reidsville yesterday. wE DID NOT KEEPS BUT 22 and some were small but the river was a site to behold. The Ohoopee is maybe the 2nd purtiest river in Georgia. The Satilla would be number 1 and the Ogeechee number 3. My boat used almost 200 crickets attached to our SPin Dandy's and tossed back many real little fellers. We did catch a few nice red breast and two fine war mouth bream. The water temp was still too cool and it was very low.
A very good day

Every day you do not fish will be one day less you have to fish
Oh yeah, definitely got to get the bream poles out now! Nice pictures Danbo
That's some pretty water!
I'll share my method if anyone cares to try it. I put this grub on a 1/32 jig head and use a slip bobber set acording to depth. When I cast into an area they hit it on the way down. If they don't hit it I slowly pull the bobber a foot or two and let it fall again. This jig actually out fishes crickets for me when I'm bream fishing and they work for specks also. I wouldn't know where to get them. I originally bought them at Gander Mountain, but they don't carry them anymore so I'll be looking in every bait shop I go in. They are a pearl color with black specks. Hope you don't mind me poaching on your site. We don't have a bream board yet.

welcom to our new brim forum speckanator . you should be able to git some of the curley tail lure makers to make you some in that color . if the ocmulge gits enough water in it this summer i will post some picks but it is so lou you can wade across in most any plce.
retired and now i will always fish
Now that's what I'm talking about
I have some of those same twister tails. I got them at bass pro in Duluth last time I was there. Funny I never saw them there before. I really liked the look of them so I picked up a few packs and they worked great on crappie at Reelfoot lake in tenn. can't wait to see how they do for bream. Here in Ga. I have also had good luck using a pearl 1/32 jig head with red worms or wax worms. Bream seem to love them.
my favorite type of lures are the 1 inch curly tails! I get them on-line from these folks:
LISTING OF ALL SOFT PLASTIC BAIT
I like to fish them for everything- bass and crappie will bite them with a faster retrieve and the gills will too, but fishing them like you do works well, also.
