certainly has peaked my curiosity
Hi Crappie.com,
I'm working on getting a 12' fiberglass Jon boat into the Hudson and in addition to the transom drain plug leaking, I have an additional leaky drain plug on the bottom of the boat inside the middle seat which has a hinged access panel on the top of the seat. Does anyone know what this shrouded drain plug is called? I'm wondering if this is something I can just change the rubber seal on, or should I just use sealant? I have attached a picture of the bottom view.
Thanks

I have never seen Adrain plug in the bottom of a Jon. I wonder if it was added after the boat was purchased. Are you the original owner? I had thought since it was under the middle seat it might have been used as a live well or cooler thus the drain plug. That would be my guess.

Yep agree with bob, welcome from Southwest Missouri. In response to CP My Aluminum Richline challenger had a screw-in drain plug in the floor behind the back seat that drained through one of the chines on the bottom of the boat. That was a first for me...
