Hello all, it is a pleasure to join you on the Crappie fishing forum. I am relatively new to Crappie fishing, but not fishing in general. Historically, I’ve only been able to catch (and release) them by mistake with the cast net haha.

Richard Gene the Fishing Machine made me feel confident enough to find the illusive fish, but so far I have only found them in local ponds. Having a tough time finding them on the lake. I am mainly shooting docks with 4lb test spinning reel shooting 1/16 oz jigs with LFT or Bobby Garland baby shad.

Recently heard about slab-sauce and that is how I discovered this forum. First time out, it would appear the slabs like slabsauce! Got two which was a real joy for me to catch and eat. I’ve only caught 4 in my life so far! Lol

Presently, my dad and I have a bass tracker on the way with Garmin Panoptix. We will have the equipment, but are total newbies finding the crappie, especially suspended in open water. We are going to mount the Panoptix and fishfinder on front of boat by trolling motor. Panoptix will be on a poleducer. Any quick tips for the LiveScope is appreciated!
