Thanks everyone for the welcome messages. I'm a diehard bass fisherman BUT, I'm seriously interested in learning more about crappie fishing. I'm 56, fish in the southwest Ohio region and own a Ranger RT198P boat. Right now, I'm not much of a crappie fisherman, meaning I'm not really good/consistent at it. My one buddy took to it this year like he's been doing it his whole life. He's especially good at deep water fishing for them with a slip bobber and minnow set up. I can find them with my electronics, just not very adept to setting my gear up for the correct depth, (I guess). Anyway, I want to get in on this, because I feel like with some tweaks to my set up, I could be successful. So with all of that said, that's why I joined this forum. I wanted to see what I can be doing better. Thanks everyone.
