    Thank you both. The double hook rig is my challenge I always seem to have one too loose. We’re going out today so I’ll be able to try hooking one first then turning the rod to tighten to secure the second hook. I’ll report back on that.

    Take top hook in hand, let rest of rig dangle down, take main line above top hook hold it parrelel to top hook with slack out, wrap main line around bend of hook 5 times. Then hook bottom hook in hook keeper, tighten line up until most of slack is out, then put hand between line with hooks where back of hand is against the slack line. Spinning rod to wind slack around rod until snug and hook line over rod eye. Takes a few tries to get it right but fas efficient way to keep rods from tangling.
