Default Bad Experience with Terrova Purchase

Well now that i’m finished with the repairs i wanted to share my first purchase experience with Crappie.com. About a month ago i found a Terrova for sale in the classifieds and contacted the owner(i wont mention any names). Great communication, i paid full price plus shipping to my door with an understanding that the motor ran as it should just had some wear and normal marks from use. After paypal cleared i received a message that the package was shipped. A few days later the box came in and i went to work getting it setup on my boat. After purchasing a new prop nut i spun the motor by hand to make sure everything was cosher, a little tight but seemed ok. I installed everything and tested the motor to ensure all speeds worked with the remote but not for long didnt want to overheat anything. The slow speeds did not want to work only the high speeds. After some closer inspection i found the magnet had broken and was stuck to the armature. Needless to say i was not excited. When the seller explains an item works as it should that would leed me to think there are no major concerns. A broken magnet in the motor/foot, stripped mounting brackets, cracked plastics and missing parts is not what I expected. In my opinion this motor has been apart prior to me receiving it judging by my findings upon opening it. Broken connections and screws/washers missing are clear indicators. I havent been a member for long but i hope this isnt a common issue. From everyone ive talked to this seems to be a one off scenario for any Crappie.com purchases.
