    I grew up in TX, Garland up by Dallas. Then spent 8 wonderful years down in San Marcos between San Anton and Austin. We always had a freezer full of crappie growing up. These days I'm obsessed with redear shellcrackers, they're in the sunfish family just as about as big as black crappie. Got a new pond, albeit a mini 6000' pond a few months ago. Hope ya'll can appreciate a slab brim pond experiment, crappie in a mini likely would be beyond my management skills!

    Gotta get into your forum and see what I can learn. Am retired and live in northern Alabamie for our golden years. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
