A BIG hello from Alaska!
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself .......I'm originally from Missouri and moved up to Alaska in 2001. I visit family in MO. once a year and always set up a fishing trip while I'm down there. Trout is preferred but, my brother in-law has got me hooked on crappie too. I enjoy tying flies and have recently been making my own plastic baits. I had a custom CNC mold made for me to duplicate the 1/32 Foxee Jig that was discontinued many years ago. Been playing around with colors and unique patterns along with having Simply Crappie making me a jig head with a sickle hook. Trout love them and found out crappie love them too!
Even though crappie are not up in Alaska, trout and grayling are plentiful. This forum has me homesick. I hope to get some great tips and advice when needed and hopefully contribute when I can.
