Default A breath of fresh air...

Hello all my name is Kadin everyone calls me Big K (6'3" 270).

I'm a disabled retired police officer and my passion is golf, yea that's not a typo I said golf (stick with me here)...

I'm a featured writer for the largest golf forum on the internet and we are associated and linked with Golf Digest. I'm a product tester/reviewer and I'm on the equipment review panel.

I carry a pro titled as a golfer and I'm sponsored by a major OEM.

My new career is custom building and fitting golf clubs.

Fishing is my hobby thanks to my father. I am now passing this on to my children ages 3 and 5 "Take a kid fishing"

I found Crappie.com while searching for info on crappie fishing. When I first started lurking I noticed a very familiar tone. The members here we're exactly like the ones on the forum I write for except it was all about fishing, boats, tackle and techniques. It was so a like I laughed and said to my wife "look, see...I'm not the only one passionate about what I do"

The best part was the boat picture thread! We have a "What's In The Bag" thread that is identical to your boat thread...I LOVE IT!

I knew at that moment, that Crappie.com was going to be my new home away from home forums.

Its nice to getaway from all the golf talk and numerous questions I receive from the other site...it's a breath of fresh air!

(Lengthy so far , I know...featured writer remember?) lol

Anyway I live in a private community called Lake of the Four Seasons and we have several private stocked lakes and the crappie fishing (well all fishing actually) is awesome. My wife and I have decided to purchase a boat probably in the off season or during winter.

I may not post much after this introduction due to my writing responsibilities on the other site. I wanted to take the time and say thank you for all the great info and for sharing your stories. My crappie fishing has improved thanks to Crappie.com

    Kadin (Big K)

Welcome from south Louisiana. Loved golf most of my life. Just can't play anymore, because of bad wrist's. Glad I can still fish some. Please add a link to the golf forum.

    Thanks everyone!

I write for GolfWrx.com (Mods if this link isn't allowed I apologize and will remove it).

I wrote a 12 part series about kids and golf title "Growing Up Golf" much like fishing golf is also trying to "grow". A very common question or thread that always appears is "how do I get my kids into golf" or some variation of. So I figured a series on kids and everything golf was a good idea.

Awesome intro Big K, and thanks for your interest in another relaxing outdoors way of life. I too like to chase the little ball but still struggle on ways to make it edible.
    from Texas too.
