Thread: Oklahoma State Lake Record

Well I finally did it...! I caught the biggest crappie ever caught on Grand lake over the weekend...! Set a new state record...WOW..! My son and went to the Twin Bridges State park area on Grand Lake to fish for crappie, (we have been catching some pretty nice fish there for a couple of weeks) I kept telling my son everytime we go fishing that I was going to catch a record crappie, he always says "SURE you are" and when I would either loose a fish or have one break my line I would tell him that THAT was the State Record fish...!!! Well I did it...!! I'm just glad my son was there with net in hand...because when I seen the fish it put me in SHOCK...!! My first fish of the day...the rest of the crappie we caught seemed rather small compared to this one and there were several fish in the 1 1/2 to 2 pound range...NICE FISH...the official web-site for Lake record fish in Oklahoma is www.wildlifedepartment.com
