Let me add another stream that is worth fishing-fly fishing at.
The Yellowbreeches south of Harrisburg Pa. is a excellent trout stream and can be fished year round. However there is only a one mile C and R section from mid Feb,- April that is open.
I has many hatches starting with black and brown stone flies in late winter. Opening day in April can see Grannom Caddis and Hendricksons. In May we usually see Sulphurs and Gray Fox in the late evening. Summer can see a mix of lighter colored flies such as Light Cahills. Do not forget your terrestrials for those hot summer days. The upper 1/2 of the stream stays relatively cool all summed do to it is a limestone stream. However in late summer C and R can be limited in some areas do to water temperatures can get as high as 70 deg.
There are plenty of wild brown as well as about 70,000 stocked trout a year so bait fishing can be very popular in the spring through summer.
Do you have a stream you enjoy fishing?
