They look great!
Took a break from tying some 18-20 blue wing olive parachutes to have a little fun with some craft foam. Made a size 6 and a 10 hopper, think I'll do some different colors of these for the box, they came out pretty nice, and didn't require me pulling my hair out.

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
90% of the flies I tie are foam. The Hoppers look great and can be used for trout about now. I have found that I don’t have to be quite so creative for bass & bluegills. Just a hunk of foam and a suggestion of legs.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
Thanks-
And they work! Visited the tailwaters of a local reservoir today for a few hours, only place around with trout. They do pretty well there with decent carry over each year as the water stays pretty cold.
I was playing around with my new(est) rod and nymphs, but wasn't doing so well. Wading a long shallower pool with lots of shady banks and overhanging trees, the breeze made me think of those hoppers. I was able to chuck one of the #8 hoppers with my 3wt under the trees, and picked up a decent little brown!
