Thread: Rebuilding a Bamboo fly rod - whew!

I am or have been rebuilding a South Bend 40's model #3 weight fly rod. I am close to being finished and ready to catch some BG's & chink's with it. The rod is very nice and sound and ready, after a few more touch's here and there. When I first received the rod, in rough shape, but usable, I lined it with 5weight line, all I had, and gave it a try. It was perfect and I decided to rebuild it.
