Default Citation Yellow Perch on the Fly

A friend and I went to the river today with the fly rods in tow. Start off with the spinning rod to see where the fish where. After I landed a couple with spin rod I switched to fly rod and it didn't take long.

Landed this nice YP and a bunch of little ones.

Congrats, that is a good YP. Had to be fun with your fly rod.

Wow, that's a big perch! What fly were you using? Great job.

The guy I was fishing with wanted to see this fly also. When he went home he tied some up and even give them a name.

    The Diascund Dan

The are tied on crappie tube jig heads with the lead melted off.
Then hook eye bent out to 60 degree angle and a set of dumbell eyes tied on. marabou tail , chenelle body. Simple fly but affective.
I have never had a fly named after me.
