    Default fly used

The fly I used doesn't have a name. It is something that I made up.

I used a size 6 or 8 crappie tube jig head. I think they weighed 1/8, which doesn't matter.
Melted the lead off of it. Then bent the hook eye to about 60 degrees.
Tied in a set of gold dumbell eyes at the bend of the hook eye.
White marabou tail then wraped chart chinelle body.
    Chart thread

I also like to use rabbit fur strips on the same hook with same eyes. Great action

I like using 100th oz jigs you can purchase from BP. Have landed alot of fish on the jigs.

Here's a Dutch take on perch, with a couple of fly examples:

As soon as ice out, I peg to the bank for perch with a small beadhead scud. Perch spawn under the ice and often times as soon as ice out they are along the shorebanks still with eggs in them. Rowing and stopping produces 1 sometimes 3-4, but always nice sized females.

Glad you like it. It's a good site and not that well known.
