Rio, Scientific Anglers, and Cortland all make good lines. You can't go wrong with any of them.
I think Bass Pro and Cabela's lines are both made by Sci Anglers.
who makes a good weight forward line for a 4-5wt reel?

Home. For years I'v been purchasing their factory 2nds line (9.99) and can't beat the quality. These are expense top lines but 2nds - you may or maynot notice the 2nd. I fish alot and put my line through alot of use. I change line every year at that price. Try some u won't be sorry.
You also might want to look into Hook and Hackle's Hi-Floater lines. I have compared them apples to apples with SA, Rio and some "house brands" like Albright and Redington and in my opinion it will outfloat any of them.
