I have not yet tried to tie a dragonfly but if I were I would deftly used a full because I would want to float where I live we have quite a few smallmouth bass in the river behind my house in they love to catch dragonflies in did air in the summer it is a lot of fun to watch them. Do you know that 2" bass will attack a dragonfly bigger than they are. But of course the river. There are full of these little guys in they act like Puranas. If you really want to laugh get a snake about a foot long going across the river flows little bass will rip them to pieces. But anyway, getting back to the dragonfly pattern made out of foam. I deftly would want to work with this. I deftly would want eyes that would float or a plastic beads it. We could paint see what we can do in the future and maybe try to post later on.

OK, finally got around to making one. It's alot of work, if my buddy likes them he's gonna have to pay dearly for them. What do you think? I don't like the wings, gonna have to try something different.
Dennis
Try long thin hackle for the wings, you can cut and shape it pretty easily if needed.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
Very nice ! I used a little buck tail fur for my wings .
Wonder how some cellophane for wings would work ?
Pat
Thanks, Im gonna try both see how they look. I thoght about the cellophane but figured I'd have a hard time cutting them in to shape and don't know how they would lay in the water, wether they would fold up and stick together, anyways gonna keep trying and see what happens.
Hey Pat I meant to ask if you every cuaght anything with your
Dragonflies yet
We're at KY Lake right now. Gonna give it a try for bass when the weather settles down. Alot of rain and it's only in the fifties. Got soaking wet this morning.
