How's the fishing over at Lake Istokpoga in March. Getting to Sebring early and a few of us are renting a boat to do some Speck chasing. Love the smell of the orange blossoms that time of year!:o

Well, it's Spring but the water is already warming up here at the end of Winter. I usually fish for bream more in Spring and Summer. Haven't been fishing in a while so I really can't speculate. Haven't been to Istok in a long time. You might still be able to get some decent Specks in early Spring though before the water turns too warm.

Thanks for the reply dixie-Looking forward to some warm weather! By the way- any redear in that lake? May just have to find some red wigglers.
Take care and get hope your fishing time increases!

As far as bream go, I have only caught Bluegill on Istok but I have caught Shellcrackers on Istok Canal. You know, the canal (and the feeder canals) between the Big Ditch (Kiss River) and Istok? There may be Shellcrackers on Istok. I just haven't caught any there yet.
