    Default Lake Talquin

I took one of longest trips with the bulk a ten night stay at lake Seminole. The first four days were slow a couple bass bluegill and five crappies. Lake kept rising. Then learned the middle creeks in lake were the hot spot. I hit three stumps out there and got one Dink bass. I could see how that area would be good. Finally at end of day my last bay of clear water was now muddy and had gar. I had some pecks on a secret down tree but no bites. Then my Apple Watch went overboard
The At Ease campground is one of the best though out here my camp spot is an acre or half acre restaurant on site was good too

I then realized Talquin is only 40 min away I got a three day license which took forever with bad signal down here

I launched at Ingrams. Ramp is tight but they let me park for free. I never used gas motor. I got more fish out there in five hours then all week up north

Was jigging pads and stumps 2-8 foot. Many fish holding deep still live scope worked good at those shallow depths

six nice crappie up to 14” and big bluegill

Charlie brewer Whirley bee and panfish assassin in dark colors Also tested new lews rod a 9 footer and a KFred 8’6” jigging pole both worked good

Love Talquin. Long drive from Iowa but worth every minute of it.

Way to be persistant. having a nice camping area with a resteraunt on site does make it nice but ketchn specs is nicer. Nice adjustment in making the move to Talquin from all I've heard about it. WTG in getting out and doing some last minute ketchn.

Glad you had a good trip. Sounds like normal for one of my trips. Big plans and weather issues always clouded my trips. My day trips, like yours to Talquin usually work best for me. Still beats sitting around and wishing.
