    Default Woodruff and Dexter

Buddy and I are coming down on the 24th? Anyone still having luck on these lakes? We caught several down there early February! Bluegill is fine as well. Where are they at, crappie or gills?

    Thanks.

I was there on the 20th of last month. Too windy to fish open water on Woodruff so everybody there were fishing the pads. I didn't see much catching so I left for the river. Caught 9 fish all day. There were plenty on the graph but not many takers. Another boat said the same. Highly disappointing! The weather had been funky a couple days before my trip so I think they still had Lockjaw. Your timing should be good for Specks and Gills as the weather around Central Florida warms up and settles down... hopefully.

I will be fishing both lakes and the river March 10-23. I've had good years and down years here. But how bad can it really be if we are fishing?

So far is't slow, but the fish I have caught are nice 2 pounders. I have done my best in the evening 4 - 8 pm. I will update as time goes one.

JC, are you catching them long lining or single pole?
    Open water or pads?

Trolling. Red and pink head 1/16 jigs with white or pink grubs are pretty much what is working. But still slow.
