Whatever came out of the treatment plant is probably past lake George by now. The river never stops flowing north. And from what I read, it was treated wastewater not raw sewage. Big difference.
I haven't heard any updates, as yet.
Does anyone on here know?

Slab, we went last Friday and it was fine. Never had any smell from all the times we fished it since the spillage.

Reminds us that it’s a good idea to always keep an eye out for floaters, of all types. Safe boating and fishing to all.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
Maybe call the Seminole Health Department or Environmental Protection Agency?

What time is it? IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!
Can anyone from down there tell me if the crappie are still in the lakes or are they finally spawning in the shallows? Buddy and I are thinking about coming back down to Woodruff and Dexter lakes on the 24th for a week. Crappie is the goal, but the bluegill will be fine as well. Staying in Astor. I know you Florida members get around on the different lakes and rivers. Hoping for some advice or suggestions!

Might get more responses by starting a new thread titled Woodruff and Dexter. Good luck on the water. Boat and travel safe, take care.

I haven’t been but I’ve heard the open lake bite has slowed own some but still catching. Still good flow on the river so I would be looking in the backwaters or the weeds myself. Good luck and enjoy your stay.
