Heavy wind makes for hard fishing conditions. You did good getting out and catching some. Thanks for sharing
Fished Okeechobee yesterday or let me say the River Lake was just too rough wind wise to be on. Fished the river and wound up with 30 keepers. 40 to 50 actual catches in cluding short fish and catfish. Finding them in 10 to 12 feet of water, 9 to 10 feet deep Fished from 8am until 3pm. Wind was horendous. Used spotlock as I had no anchors. Few females, but mostly male fish. Started out jigging the bank and caught only one on a jig. People where catching fish jigging but they were deep into the cover. I mean poking the rod and jig in heavy cover, fishing slow and finding them. I didn't have the patience for that and boat control was almost impossible due to the wind. Most fish were 10 to 12inches. Nothing big, but still nice size for the grease. Using minnows, and jigs tipped with minnows. Fished out of the C. Scott Driver Park ramp. Did I say it was windy?

WTG in being persistant despite the wind. fact you kept moving and found them in different places than the rest of the crowd. Windy days like that are rough. makes you glad you spent the extra money for it.
