    Default Flag Day FUN was

a day of symbolic emphasis on the TRUE meaning of FLAG DAY = Freedom, UNITY, RESILIENCE!!
Yesterday's truly Blessed day, was initiated by myself a couple weeks ago, to honor a true friend, AJ, in his relocation back to his homestate of [COLOR="#006400"][I]W[COLOR="#DAA520"][B]ISCON Included in this Buddy Bash was an undisclosed, surprise mini-Crappiefest!! OMG!
Now, AJ, has unfortunately been unavailable for our past Crappiefests due to business obligations etc., and his 35 year buddy, Jimmy, is more familiar with the Nuclear coding than "what a Crappiefest is"!!(This will NOW change!) We met up on schedule(DARK Thirty) except for the event planner, me(+10 mins.), because of pickup "things" to this invitation ONLY day o' fun(learn)...sshh, don't say nuthin'!
All conditions/timing were perfectly aligned, with Hi, my name is Jimmy(handshake, etc) "Half the stuff AJ's told me about you CAN"T be true"?!? Well, Jimmy, since you've known AJ TWICE as long me, you easily know that his memory has moments of "challenge"! Consequently, the things he forgot to tell you about me are ALSO TRUE!!
Chronologically, I'll start you off with the PHOTOS du Jour-

All equipment was rigged & ready, batteries charged etc., ice, THEIR snacks/drinks(Jimmy's fav PBJ sshh! don't say nuthin'!
Gave Jimmy his little 1st tutorial on LIVESCOPE various rod-lengths, lures, line-length etc.(AJ's already had/enjoyed the course/results) PLENTY fish being viewed but took uncomfortably/embarrassingly longer than I expected honestly. Here's Jimmy with his 1st Prisoner! Name: IMG_4554.jpg

Size: 69.5 KB We found a few more that requested their "last meal", but then surprisingly, I noticed my 24V I-Pilot electrical power to initially diminish. When the motor failed to follow directional key-pad command, I asked for complete reelins to assess/configure the sad, curious letdown. I had the guys stay busy while we drifted by single-rod casting the same lures. Couldn't figure out my 15 month Deep-cycle DIEHARDS, so it was on to other strategies = If your left hook ain't workin'...try Mike Tyson's right jab on their chin!
Well buggy over to some sweet, hidden grass beds in 10 fow to allow the wind-drift us to fancast(mock troll) Let em sink down boys, the weed lengths vary, and do the SLOW swim(just like trolling). Disappointed but still pumped with the "SECRET, sshh, don't say nuthin'!" I got the 1st SWEETIE,Name: IMG_4546.jpg

I initially told AJ that the day's catch was theirs, as was the cleaning. Got the boat on the trailer, fish/knives/newspaper/paper towels, sorry guys be careful, no band aids!
AJ says "well where you goin'"? I replied I got stuff to do, this is your job(including Jimmy's tutorial!)
As I'm busy getting the sssh-t together, off to the side, I noticed I WAS CAUGHT!! Think it was the oil/butane cooker that opened their mouth!(Well, there went the SSHHH!)
Enjoy the rest o' the show folks!

Great pics. Really enjoyed watching the sun come up. That Live Scope is the bomb. Sorry your batteries gave up the ghost.
You really know how to plate your catch. Beans just seem to make the plating of a fish meal so much better. To top it off, I noticed the breakfast of Champions (Coors Light ) on the table. Hard to beat waking up to a fresh hot cup of coffee and reading about your fishing adventures. Please continue to share. Hope the new batteries keep you on the water longer. Tight lines.

Good job with the trip and it’s challenges Doug. Good fish turned into a good dinner, even better.
