Hopefully they will get it completed soon
Clearly, the folks at Seminole County don’t see the need to hurry getting the ramp back in order at the St Johns. It’s been many months that we’ve done without it and I for one miss being able to get in early. The other day I went by with my queen and we stopped to check the progress. At the waterline was a lip of concrete in each of the sides or the ramp, just waiting for the dry side to be poured and swung into place. The forms are there waiting for the concrete truck to fill em. So after the long wait we may finally be closing in on a functional ramp in the near future.

I’m not holding my breath. This build is way past due.
We will be lucky to have it completed by the end of the year IF we don’t have another hurricane
With the water levels getting lower and lower for many months, it got to the point i could no longer launch at my favorite place.
The ramp ended at the edge of the water, with a major drop where the concrete ends.
No way of launching without damaging the trailer, which i actually did.
So about 2 months ago i called St. Johns water authority who owns all the lakes in that area.
Talked to a nice guy there and told him about the problem, he said he would check it out.
I said just a load of gravel and a skid steer machine could fix the issue.
Anyway nothing for 2 months.
But, a friend called me and said they moved equipment in there on Wednesday.
So yesterday morning i was there, and sure enough they are preparing to replace part of the ramp and extend it further out.
I was even able to convince the equipment operator to make a few other site improvements to make it easier to maneuver the trailer when launching.
They expect it will all be ready by the 20th of June.
So maybe the problem is that you guys dont know how to go about getting things done.
Would you like me to make a few calls for you? lol
Yo, we have a ramp on the other side of the river. This ramp being down along with one on the north side of Monroe has put the pressure on the Volusia ramp with parking being the problem. The extra boat launch idiots don't help either. As said, soon……
