That area is close to the Gulf of Mexico.. Better known for salt water fishing. I went bass fishing at Rosseau around 35 years ago. From what I remember there were plenty of flooded trees. You might consider looking closer to the St Johns River.
(I put this in wrong forum first, should be here. Trying to delete the other)
Guys, need some info and help. We've been wintering (Snowbirding) in E. Central Florida for some time. Long story, but our campground is 'kicking us out' because locals are complaining they can't get weekend sites. I don't blame them, but still, I enjoy spec fishing Florida. I have been going to Stickmarsh, Garcia, and that area. My wife drives her Yukon and pulls my boat, a Lowe Stinger 195 w/ 115 Merc. I do NOT want to put an alum boat in salt water, and really know nothing about salt water fishing.
Since we got news they are wanting us to find other spots, I found a campground in NW Florida around Inglis that is promising. However, the only reasonably close lake I can find is Rosseau. I know Zero about it. I also can't find anywhere that sells crappie minnows (I can jig, but am 'addicted' to the cork and minnow method....therapy for me).
Any info anyone has would be appreciated. You can reach me directly at bcarm at conwaycorp.net. I will check here when I can. If we get this spot, I'll be coming 12/01/2023 through March 31, 2023.
Thanks again.

South of lake Rosseau there are a few lakes, actually a chain of lakes.. Inverness is the closest town.
Many of the campgrounds have implemented a policy regarding the age of the units they allow in their parks.
Especially for long term use.
The only campground im aware of near the lakes you mention is the one at the I 95 exit for Sebastian/Fellsmere.
It might pay you to check out fish camps that offer camp sites as well.
Paradise fish camp on lake Marion near Kenansville has an RV park. 407 436 1464. lakemarianparadise.com
Lake Marian is also considered one of the top Crappie lakes in the state.
Frankly a much nicer lake than either Garcia or Stickmarsh in my opinion, and they are my closest lakes.
Also close by is the Kenansville lake, and another excellent lake for Crappies adjacent to it.
There are also several fish camps offering camp sites on or near Lake Kissimmee.
