    Default YIPES-STRIPES!- Version 2

Early yesterday morning's Posting-attempt(obviously too early), was "challenged" and lost AFTER 40 minutes of artistic-creativity! Well, AFTER my failed Senior, computer-challenged attempt of self-rescue/fix, I decided to call the owner of this C.com thingy. As usual, Ed was sitting in his Lifeguard-chair(unfortunately for him, NOT @the Beach!), always willing to help a member during a SENIOR-moment
As the trouble-shoot exercise unfolded, Ed theorized that my large, Caveman-club apparently touched something it shouldn't have! With his astute capabilities/patience, he got me back-up & running, but unfortunately the Cow(Post) had already left the barn!

Thursday's solo-trip is well worth relaying(twice) because of the atypical diversity that I was Blessed with enjoying. L/l'g 8 rods was 1st method chosen on the early, building-winds, sunny Florida day.(w/t 75.9*) Didn't take but a minute to get that long-tailed, black critter w/striped tail out the boat, because my 14' r yielded a nicely-shouldered 13" to start my day. Clicker was being routinely massaged with each ice-bathed guest. Two very nice Channel Catfish added to the day's workout, thankfully forecasting my Catch o' the Day! Name: 20230302_114326.jpg

Size: 84.3 KB 19" WIPER [White Bass/Striper hybrid}. This VERY shy combatant did NOT want to see the inside of my cooler after a net-massage(ticklish?) OR meet his new friends that were just chillin'!
After having enough fun for three people, and the whitecaps(20 mph), I decided to head to the skinny, more protected water. With u/l mini-stick(5') as weaponry, it took but a minute to get my big Speck o' the day.

Here's a few more pics= Say HELLO to my little friends!

Wiper was fooled with a 1/32 oz. beetle-spin orange/white silver sparkle 2" twister, my usual mini-stick lure was 1/32 oz. BlackChartreuse tube.

    Thanks for Ridin'/Readin'/Reelin'
Note: Because of my preference to u/l mini-stickin', probably will end up downsizing my Caveman-Club!

Very nice Sir. I had Visio’s of you riding the cow like Otis Campbell with a Coors Light in one hand and a blue crab in the other.

Patience maybe just a little, but seems like less of it as I age. Sorry for the slightly louder "attention redirections"! lol

Nice fish. That stripper must have put up one heck of a fight.

Nice catches! Those wipers are a blast(unless you're trolling 12 lines and one decides he needs to get wrapped up in every single one of them!)

Everyone of those fish was a good one for the day, nice sized. I’d like to watch the show with one of those stripers on a little stick! That would take a minute.

Thanks for sharing another "Fishing with Doug" adventure. Interesting that the 1/32" bait was not only seen but eaten by the Wiper. I wonder what the odds are of finding a fish of that size with a lure of that size in a huge body of water.

Inaccurate...the WIPER was caught while l/l'g with 1/16 oz~2" Twisters. No doughnutz either!
