Thread: Lake Talquin

Headed to lake Talquin Wednesday for the first time. Looking for info on where to start looking for crappie. Are they getting close to spawning down there so look shallow or are they still out deeper. Really excited to try a new lake. Thanks for any help.

We just finished fishing 3 days there and the Crappie usa tourney was there yesterday 13.90lbs I believe won it. Water temp is around 60 they are schooled up 8ft down and deeper, we struggled but did manage a 1.87# hog. Hair jigs bluish green with Tinsel was what was working.
