Check out Kissimmee Special on TikTok. Dudes crush it on Lake Kissimmee on a daily basis. They look to be fishing weed lines most of the time with minnows on cane poles.

We fished out of Camp Mack back in October and it was real tough for 3 days until we found any real numbers.

I fish 130 miles north of you and have only fished 2 times in the last couple of months..In mid December I was marking fish in 7 to 10 ft of water but could not buy a bite... So I went to a spot I caught some at last year..Did not have a bite till I got in close to the shallower water. I have been catching them in 3-4 ft of water since just before Christmas. 95% have been good sized males.. I think this weekend the females will show up at my shallow spot. Water temp was 58 3 weeks ago and 62 last saturday. With the full moon you may find them in close trying to bed.

Robert, do you think that’s early spawn activity or shallow water warming earlier?

I don't know. I like to Speck fish but am no expert. I kept 14 last weekend and only one was female with small roe.. Last weekend I did see others fishing all over the lake from middle of lake to the pads. 35-40 years ago this time of year we always drifted the lake with minnows under a cork, we caught fish and I never hit the pads till March. I started Speck fishing again 3 years ago and am trying different methods. I didn't fish this weekend, I wanted to but got busy with other stuff.
